<p>In the field of Search engine optimisation one technique that always comes to mind when mapping out or planning your SEO campaign is the link building process, generally the link building process is a process where in SEO companies and or SEO consultants will utilise methods that will create backlinks to the website which is their target for an SEO campaign. One of the most common and most efficient method of gaining such backlinks is via submission to of the target websites’ URL into the different Human Edited Search engines or commonly known as directories. Directories have been considered to be an essential part of the link building process because of the page rank or the traffic that it could generate which can point towards your target website. This is the reason why a lot of <a href="/">SEO companies</a> and <a href="../seo-consultant">SEO consultants</a> have been searching and researching for different directory website where they can use to build their links in through submissions. Submissions can be done or accomplished in two ways, one is through manual submissions and the other through automatic submissions. Manual submission is a process wherein the <a href="/">search engine optimisation</a> or a designated person will visit the website directory and places a request to add the URL of its target website to the directory list, here, the person submitting must manually type in the sites’ description and the sites’ keyword if needed by the directory, most directories if not all of them have integrated a captcha or a non-bot verification system to make sure that the one submitting the URL for approval to be included in the directory list is an actual human, this is due to the fact that such information that you submit must be genuine and personalised depending on the needs of the directories. Such personalisation is required because the approval of your websites’ inclusion to the directory lies within the human editor who will be reviewing your website if it indeed is qualified to be added to the directory.</p>
<p>An automated submission on the other hand is applications or software programs that are designed to easily submit your URL to millions of directories which cuts down the time of submission by a large margin.</p>
<p>This brings us to the debate on which one is better, well, automatic submissions may speed up the submission of your website to the different directories but it yields very little if none in terms of approved results, this is attributed to the fact that in submitting to the different directories you would just enter one type of information where in directories vary on the type of information that they need depending on what they are requiring.</p>
<p>Therefore, manual submission is still better because even though it is a slow process it will surely yield a high percentage of approval rate in directory submission for the sole reason that you are able to customise the information that you are entering or submitting depending on the theme or requirements of the directory you are submitting your URL to.</p>
